Anxiety Free Child Review – The Answer You’re Looking for?
There’s a new program called the Anxiety Free Child that’s creating quite a stir. I suppose that’s because people are desperately searching for ways to help their anxious child and wonder if this program could really help. I wrote this Anxiety Free Child review to help you decide for yourself.
This is an important issue because more and more children suffer from serious anxiety problems. While of course it’s normal for every child to experience some anxiety as they grow up, the situation today seems to be more extreme. Some people estimate that 15% or more (!) of children will experience a serious problem dealing with anxiety as they grow up.
Given the state of the world today and the pressures in our society I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised. I think this makes it even more imperative that as adults we learn whatever we can to help our kids. That’s where I believe the Anxiety Free Child Program can be a tremendous help.
This program is produced by Rich Presta. Although Mr. Presta does not a mental health professional himself he has drawn from many mental health disciplines to put this program together.
The program is multimedia, including both written and recorded material.
The written manual outlines the entire program and begins with an excellent summary of the broad range of anxiety disorders that might affect the child. It then goes on to differentiate between useful, appropriate fear and destructive anxiety.
Once the foundation has been laid, it outlines a series of exercises for both the parent and child to do. The rationale for each one is explained in detail and you are led through it step-by-step.
These exercises are definitely effective. However as Mr. Presta emphasizes several times, there is one proviso: you have to actually do the exercises, not just read about them.
That’s not too difficult because the exercises are not difficult and most are actually enjoyable. Even better, and this is one the things I really like about the program, is doing these exercises with your child is an excellent way to deepen your bond.
In addition to the written manual, the program also includes a complete MP3 audio recording of the manual (so you can listen and review whenever it’s convenient for you). In addition, there are MP3 recordings for your child. These recordings guide your child through practicing the skills of inducing relaxation and tranquility that they learned throughout the program.
Perhaps one of the most powerful “bonuses” that’s included in the complete system is recordings of in-depth interviews with eight experts in psychology and childhood anxiety disorders. These experts provide priceless advice on parenting anxious children and explain the implications some recent astounding research. Imagine what even a 30 minute consultation with one of these experts would cost. I thought these recordings alone were worth the investment in the entire program.
In summary, the Anxiety Free Child program is a comprehensive, multimedia system designed to help you help your child overcome their struggles with anxiety, fear, and excessive worry. Your child doesn’t need to suffer needlessly with anxiety and I recommend you investigate this program further.
